Sam’s group of educational institutions had a humble beginning. Southern Academy of Maritime Studies was born in the year 1996, out of an un-diminishing, futuristic vision of a mariner, Mr. M. Karthikeyan. In the beginning, Sams was offering only a few STCW marine courses from its Royapuram hamlet.

Placement Cell

SAMS Chennai is having a well-equipped Placement cell. The cell undertakes various activities of training and grooming of students in terms of conducting mock interviews, Group Discussion sessions, resume preparation etc. Along with providing placement assistance to students. The placement cell also helps in managing industry interactions and industry relations.
